Fundamental to Solis' value creation model is its investment support and oversight. Of primary consideration is whether the management team is capable and willing to do what is needed to succeed. If so, Solis seeks to support the team in any way it can including:

• Guiding the team through a bottoms-up strategic planning process, including development of appropriate metrics, benchmarks and ascertainable goals

• Acting as a strategic sounding board and crisis partner
• Serving on, and recruiting members to, the Board of Directors
• Supporting all transactional activities including acquisitions, divestitures and financings
• Using its network for recruiting executive talent, sales leads and professional support
• Developing incentive plans
• Consulting/mentoring from one or more of Solis' specialists

Solis' oversight processes include:

• Frequent contact with the management team, and weekly internal review
• Monthly financials with summary metrics and comparisons to plan and prior year
• Quarterly Board meetings with focus on performance relative to plan and strategic issues
• Annual audits
